Role Description The Registration Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Missoula, MT. This role is responsible for greeting patients, completing patient registration, verifying demographics and insurance information, and ensuring all required forms and consents are accurately collected. Day-to-day tasks include answering phones, directing calls, scheduling or confirming appointments, and providing clear and courteous information to patients and visitors. The Registration Specialist will maintain accurate records in practice management systems, manage check-in and check-out processes, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams to support efficient patient flow. This position involves consistent interaction with patients, requiring strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Registration and Patient Registration processes in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Professional Phone Etiquette, including handling high call volumes, routing calls appropriately, and providing clear information.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, insurance verification, and documentation.
  • Basic computer and EMR/EHR system skills; experience with medical practice management software is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a medical front office or registration role preferred.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA and clinic policies.
