West Omaha, sole proprietor is looking for an experienced LAA to assist with daily duties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. Experience in Administrative & Edler Law, Estate Planning & Probate, Guardianship, Conservatorship, and Juvenille Law is needed.
Responsibilities
Review and draft routine legal documents
Create and maintain case files
Facilitate the meeting of attorneys deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
Conduct legal research
Electronic filing
Calendaring
Talk to clients and the clerk of the court
Anticipate the attorneys needs, help prepare for court, make sure all documents are prepared for court
Qualifications
Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
3+ years experience in a legal office
