Job Description – Warehouse clerk:
- Warehouse Clerk (Aluminum Company) Job Details: o Salary: $15-$18 x hour o Job-Type: Full time (Extended hours and weekends may be required)
- Experience: Preferred, but not required
- Location: Hialeah
- Bilingual required (English/Spanish)
- Authorized to work in the United States
Qualifications preferred, but not limited to:
- Entry-level opportunity for clerical-warehouse position
- Reliable hard-working person
- Quick learner, proactive who doesn’t need to be micro-managed
- Able to take direction
- Ability to understand and communicate information is also essential
- Complete sales orders & fulfillment per customers’ specifications
- Keeping assigned desks clean and organized
- Good computer skills, math skills and comprehension of written procedures
- Punctual
- Quickbooks, accounting and inventory management preferred, but not required
- Previous warehouse, shipping or inventory experience preferred, but not required
- Highly detail oriented and able to maintain high levels of accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to prioritize and work with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including: nights, weekends as business needs
- Please note other duties can be assigned based on the needs of the business
- Prepare, verify, and keep records of incoming and/or outgoing shipments.
- Check in merchandise and affix labels
- Fulfill customer orders
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
- Follow all safety codes
- Record amounts of materials or items received
- Verify, compare, and confirm type and quantity of received/shipped goods against information contained on bills of lading, invoices, pick tickets or other records
- Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse
- Compile inventory balances
- Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the warehouse
- Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction through high quality service by ensuring excellent planning of shipments
- Experience: o Customer Service: 1 year preferred, not required o Quickbooks experience highly preferred
