Dryer Vent Cleaning, Inc. (DVC) is a veteran-owned residential and commercial dryer vent cleaning company proudly serving the Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida areas. We are a small, close-knit team of 3 — and growing. Our field technicians are dedicated to protecting homes and preventing fires, and we’re looking for the right person to support the administrative backbone of the operation so the owner can focus on field work and business growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Job Title: Virtual Administrative Assistant
Location: Fully Remote (Saint Augustin/Jacksonville -based preferred)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00–9:00 AM to 4:00–5:00 PM
Pay: $17-$22 per hour, based on experience
Classification: W-2 or 1099 (candidate’s preference considered)
Start Date: Immediately
ROLE SUMMARY
You will be the sole administrative support for DVC, working directly with the owner to manage the day-to-day operations of the business. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role — you won’t have a team around you, but you will have the time, tools, and support to grow into it. The right candidate is organized, self-directed, comfortable on the phone, and eager to learn systems quickly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and manage 10–20 inbound customer calls per day in a professional, friendly manner and have experience doing route planning for technicians
- Schedule and dispatch field technicians using HousecallPro
- Manage and update the technician schedule in real time
- Handle payroll processing through ADP
- Perform general bookkeeping duties (invoicing, tracking expenses, reconciling records)
- Assist with marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns, and Google presence
- Communicate with customers regarding appointments, follow-ups, and service updates
- Support the owner with administrative tasks as needed
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to improve efficiency and streamline workflows
REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable learning new software platforms quickly
- Experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role preferred
- Bookkeeping or payroll experience a plus
- Familiarity with HousecallPro, ADP, or similar platforms a plus
- Experience using AI productivity tools a plus
