We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team-and work only 4 days per week! We are located minutes away from downtown Bradenton and 10-15 minutes to the beach! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your passion for animals and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Handle medical collections and process payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Assist veterinarians with basic animal handling during examinations.
- Provide information to pet owners regarding services, medications, and post-treatment care.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Support kennel operations as needed
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism ensuring a positive experience
Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and restraint methods
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff and animals.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A genuine love for animals combined with a commitment to provide high quality care.
- Strong organizational skills
- Bi-lingual is a HUGE PLUS
Schedule:
We are open Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, and closed for lunch from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM daily.

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
