About us
Wonderwood is a cozy family-owned practice that has been caring for cats and dogs in the Jacksonville area for 40+ years (we’ve changed names a couple of times). We treat all our clients with respect and friendliness, developing a very loyal client base. We are looking for friendly and professional employees to greet and interact appropriately with our clients and our patients.
Veterinary and animal handling experience preferred.
Hours needed: Hours of operation vary. Hours can be discussed during an interview.
Responsibilities include:
-Answering phones and scheduling appointments, getting phone calls/messages to the right staff
-Educating clients on our specials, insurance and payment options
-Friendly greeting of clients and patients
-Checking in patients and admitting medical and surgical drop-offs
-Entering charges and processing payments
-Managing digital and physical medical records (reason for visit, prescriptions filled, proper filing of paperwork/files)
-Helping to maintain a clean working environment (sweeping, laundry, cleaning kennels, etc.)
-Occasional assistance with animal handling during some procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
