Job Overview
Paws N Claws Animal Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and organized front-office environment while supporting both clients and the veterinary team.
The ideal candidate is reliable, friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with pet owners in person and by phone. This position offers valuable exposure to veterinary hospital operations and client care.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival
- Answer phone calls and assist with scheduling appointments
- Provide general information about services, policies, and procedures
- Check patients in and out using the practice management system
- Maintain accurate client and patient records
- Assist with basic administrative tasks including scanning, filing, and organizing paperwork
- Support client communication regarding appointment reminders and follow-up messages
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
- Communicate clearly with veterinary technicians and doctors regarding patient arrivals and updates
- Follow all clinic policies regarding confidentiality, safety, and professionalism
Experience
- Friendly, compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for animal welfare and helping pet owners
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software systems
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully
- Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Previous customer service or veterinary clinic experience is strongly preferred but not required
