Experience Requirements:

Basic keyboarding skills

Some knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Office or customer service experience a plus

To apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester (3 in the summer semester).

General Function:

  • Provide general assistance as determined by the department.

The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.

Job Duties:

The Career and Technical Programs (CTP) Division at Harper College is seeking a student aide to assist with the following tasks beginning in May of 2026:

  • Front desk reception.
  • Answering telephone calls and assisting callers.
  • Reviewing division syllabi.
  • Distributing mail and promotional items.
  • Assisting faculty and staff with clerical projects.

Other duties as assigned.

Personal Characteristics:

Reliable, organized, and punctual.

Ability to follow directions.
