JOB DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-Time/Part-Time, Hourly

Front Desk & Back of House Operations:

  • Be on time. Shifts, appointments, etc. On time means you are in your assigned station and ready to work at the start of your assigned shift.
  • Educate all guests on Knot Springs policies, including but not limited to wristband polices and appropriate experience etiquette.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments on guests’ comings and goings
  • Absorb knowledge, and share what you learn with our guests. Please, never give medical advice.
  • Support a consent culture, and always maintain a harassment and abuse-free work environment.
  • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings.

Client Experience & High-Level Hospitality

  • Serve as a point of contact for all clients entering the Springs, greeting them warmly and professionally to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Demonstrate and balance the high-level needs of hospitality with necessary administrative duties.
  • Ensure a seamless client journey by managing check-in and check-out, confirming updated waivers, and assigning lockers according to Knot Springs standard operating procedures.
  • Educate all guests on Knot Springs policies, including wristband procedures and appropriate experience etiquette.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments regarding guest arrivals and departures to ensure operational fluidity.

Operational Compliance & Team Contribution

  • Set a positive and efficient example for the Experience Team by performing all duties, large and small, to an exceptional standard.
  • Maintain compliance with all Knot Springs policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to provide coverage for special projects, events, and occasional emergency situations.
  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled training sessions and bi-monthly staff meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of proven hospitality and customer service experience.
  • Demonstrates exceptional self-accountability and superior time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to calmly and efficiently resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work activities simultaneously.
  • Possesses the maturity to perform responsibilities effectively without direct supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a demonstrated passion for ethics, empathy, and the ability to connect with others.
  • Clear and direct communication skills.
  • Able and willing to lead, coach, inspire, and motivate team members by setting a positive example.
  • Confident and tactful in both giving and receiving constructive performance feedback.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the Knot Springs mission to create a wellness oasis.
  • Proficiency or ability to quickly master operational software, including Trybe, G Suite, email, Slack, and any other applications used by Knot Springs.
  • Must be firmly rooted in the Portland area and able to adjust travel plans to accommodate seasonal business needs.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on departmental and facility needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
