Job Summary:
The Showroom Associate is responsible for welcoming clients to the showroom, providing an overview of the company’s products and services, and ensuring a positive first impression. This role serves as the initial point of contact for prospective clients and facilitates a smooth handoff to the appropriate sales representative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner
- Conduct showroom tours and explain company offerings, products, and services
- Understand client needs at a high level and direct them to the appropriate sales representative
- Maintain the appearance and organization of the showroom at all times
- Schedule appointments and coordinate client visits with the sales team
- Track and log visitor information and client inquiries
- Support the sales team by ensuring a seamless client experience from arrival to handoff
- Assist with showroom events, promotions, and special client visits as needed
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or showroom environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask and manage client flow in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and comfort using scheduling or CRM tools
- Customer-focused mindset
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Capability to lift, carry, and move merchandise (typically up to 25–50 lbs, with or without assistance)
- Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and stooping to arrange or retrieve products
- Ability to use hands and arms for handling, assembling, tagging, and displaying items
- Visual ability to read labels, price tags, and product information
