The Law Office of Tommy L. Thigpen, LLC., has an immediate opening for a Receptionist/Legal Assistant position.

Job Duties: Front desk responsibilities including: answering phone calls, managing attorney’s calendar, drafting and filing legal documents, opening/closing files, billing, and light housekeeping. Will also assist attorney with day-to-day handing of cases and court preparation.

Qualifications:

1) Previous professional office experience a plus;

2) Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;

3) Have great knowledge and command of grammar and punctuation;

4) Be detail-oriented;

5) Be dependable and dedicated;

6) Be an accurate typist;

7) Have great knowledge and experience with MS Word;

8) Be a quick learner; and

9) Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.

*Prior legal experience a plus.

Salary: based on experience

Full-time, Monday through Thursday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

*All applicants will be required to do an in-office grammar/punctuation worksheet and a basic typing test.

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Valdosta, GA 31601: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
