Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist/Leasing Assistant role based in New York, NY. The Receptionist/Leasing Assistant will be the first point of contact for residents, prospective tenants, visitors, and vendors, greeting them in a professional manner and directing inquiries appropriately. Daily responsibilities include answering and routing phone calls, responding to emails, managing the reception area, and handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages. The role also supports leasing activities by scheduling property tours, assisting with applications and paperwork, maintaining accurate resident and prospect records, and updating listings or marketing materials as needed. The position requires close coordination with property management and maintenance teams to address resident requests, track work orders, and ensure timely follow-up on resident and prospect needs.
Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, prospects, and team members.
  • Proficiency in receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, managing a front desk, and handling inquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Effective phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and route messages accurately.
  • Clerical skills such as data entry, filing, document preparation, scheduling, and basic office software (e.g., email, calendars, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in property management, leasing, hospitality, or a related customer-facing role is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, real estate, or office administration is a plus.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work on-site full time in New York, NY.
