Role Overview:
As a hotel receptionist, your primary responsibility is to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests throughout their stay.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Consistently uphold 4-star service standards.
- Interact professionally and courteously with all guests and visitors.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel accommodations, services, and local attractions.
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and cleanliness regulations.
- Comply with all statutory and legal health, safety, fire, hygiene, and employment requirements.
- Arrive punctually, dressed in the correct uniform, wearing a name badge and Ballygarry pin.
- Greet and warmly welcome guests upon arrival.
- Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring a smooth process.
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and nearby attractions.
- Respond promptly and accurately to phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Manage reservations and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
- Process payments and maintain precise guest accounts, including billing and invoicing.
- Keep the front desk and lobby area tidy, organized, and presentable.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and photocopying.
- Take restaurant reservations and ensure menus are prepared and printed on time.
- Promote hotel rooms and facilities through upselling.
- Collaborate with other departments like housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Stay informed about hotel policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate information.
- Follow safety and security protocols to protect guests and staff.
- Handle cash and lodgements responsibly and with integrity.
