Receptionist – CCMS

Job Code: 2026-TC-CCMS-003 Location: Tarrant County CCMS (Hurst) FT/PT Status: Full Time

Position Overview

  • Greet visitors in a courteous and professional manner and direct them to the appropriate staff member or department.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming phone calls, accurately routing calls and providing general program information when appropriate.
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area that reflects professionalism and customer focus.
  • Act as the message center for office staff by taking accurate telephone messages and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintain awareness of staff schedules and availability to support efficient call routing and visitor coordination.
  • Type, format, and assist with correspondence, reports, and data entry as assigned.
  • Perform general clerical duties to support administrative and program staff.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of office equipment and procedures, including phones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Receive, sort, and process incoming mail and deliveries according to established procedures.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of outgoing correspondence as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with clients, partners, and staff.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support a positive, collaborative office environment through reliability and teamwork.
  • Attend and participate in required training sessions and professional development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of full-time experience in a clerical or administrative position with ability to type 50-60 WPM.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and organize documents in a comprehensive manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn, navigate, and adapt to new software systems and databases.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in US/TX.
  • Position subject to successful completion of background checks.

Physical Requirements

  • This position is primarily sedentary and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required during the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, data entry, and handling documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone, and via electronic communication.
  • Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus to review documents and computer screens.
  • Ability to lift and carry office materials or files weighing up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
