    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The PT Specialist IV, Mental Health and Wellness provides administrative, programmatic, and operational support for the Mental Health and Wellness Services Department. This position plays a key role in supporting clinical services, supporting departmental workflows, and serving as a key point of contact for students, employees, and external partners. The PT Specialist IV works with a high degree of discretion and professionalism while working in a confidential environment and supporting the effective delivery of mental health and wellness initiatives.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists with campus outreach efforts including tabling, facilitating classroom presentations, psycho educational workshops and trainings to students, and employees
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including the Department of Student and Employee Well-being, to provide wellness education and support to students, and employees
  • Assists case management staff with vetting and organizing third party clinical resources for students
  • Assists with communication and marketing efforts to include social media content creation (post and videos), and supports the development of flyers and website content
  • Provides logistical and a high level of administrative support for departmental meetings, trainings, and special events, including preparation and organization of materials
  • Assists with research, analysis and evaluation of program, creation of reports, and presentation of findings and suggestions for program improvements
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of counseling center procedures, confidentiality requirements, FERPA, HIPAA and applicable college policies
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills when working with students and staff
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
    • Excellent knowledge of general office procedures and software applications
    • Ability to prepare, analyze, and maintain reports and databases
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

    PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

    The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

    WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

    • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
    • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
    • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience working in a counseling center, higher education, mental health, or student services environment
