Position: Administrative Assistant – Vision

Pay Rate:
$27 – 30/hr

04/08/26 – 08/18/26


Working Shift:
8 am to 5 pm | Monday – Friday | No weekends


Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and process VSP authorizations and eligibility verification

  • Manage vision billing workflows using Eyefinity Encompass

  • Ensure accurate documentation of authorizations, coverage, and patient information

  • Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance carriers regarding benefits and claims

  • Support scheduling, front desk coordination, and administrative clinic functions as needed

  • Maintain compliance with privacy regulations and clinic policies

  • Assist with tracking claims, resolving denials, and following up on outstanding items


Requirements

  • Prior administrative experience in an optometry or vision clinic setting is required

  • Hands-on experience with the Eyefinity Encompass system required

  • Experience retrieving VSP authorizations and managing vision insurance processes

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable communicating with patients, providers, and insurance representatives

  • Proficiency with standard office systems and electronic documentation
