Overview
The Data Entry Specialist (DES) is responsible for completing and reviewing the Case Report Forms (CRFs) and providing data entry support to the study teams as needed.
Duties
Transfers data from source documents to paper CRFs or e-CRFs
Performs timely query resolution (within 48-72 hours)
Attends and assists with sponsor meetings and monitor visits, as needed
Assures quality and accuracy of source and CRF documentation
Implements quality management and performs corrections for Clinical Research Coordinators, and monitors/Sponsors in a timely manner
Maintains study participant information in data entry logs, appointment calendars, and operates company information systems and computer programs
Follows medical records procedure
Always exhibits professional demeanor
Maintains a supportive and flexible manner
Maintains and updates knowledge of Ark’s Standard Operating Procedures and their proper application
All other duties as assigned, which may vary from site-to-site

Dependability – Punctual, honest, proactive, good sense of urgency, and reliable.
Planning/Organizing – Prioritizes work per set timelines and Monitor Visits, while considering other assignments and commitments.
Quality – Must be meticulous and follow protocols and CRF Guidelines. Mentors new DES and ensures proper modes of workflow are utilized.
