What You’ll Do:
As a Medical Records Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure that all medical records are properly documented, stored, and updated in compliance with regulatory standards. Your work will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and organized medical records for our residents.
Key Responsibilities of a Medical Records Assistant:
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records by verifying information and resolving discrepancies
- Compile, organize, and maintain residents’ medical records in both electronic and paper formats
- Keeping the Central Supply area fully stocked and keeping units stocked
- Ordering supplies and compiling purchase orders
- Functioning as a liaison between the Nursing Department and vendor when necessary
- Audits for timeliness of charting by physician, physical therapist, nurses, etc., and notifies appropriate individuals

Rate of Pay: USD $25.00 – USD $27.00 /Hr. -:
What You’ll Bring:
Qualifications of a Medical Records Assistant:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in health information management or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in medical records management, preferably within a long-term care facility or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), and healthcare documentation standards
- Previous experience in ordering supplies and compiling purchase orders
