Position Summary
Tri-Cities Orthotics & Prosthetics is seeking a professional, personable, and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a career receptionist who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and representing our practice with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.
As the first point of contact for our patients, referral sources, and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and positive experience while supporting the daily operations of our busy specialty medical practice.
Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (consistent full-time schedule)
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent professional experience in a medical specialty practice, legal, dental, financial, or executive office will also be considered.
* Minimum of three years of recent receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience in a professional office environment preferred.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with insurance verification preferred.
* Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Spanish-speaking preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome and check in patients with professionalism, warmth, and courtesy.
* Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
* Collect copays, payments, and insurance information.
* Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed.
* Accurately enter and maintain patient information.
* Scan, file, and maintain electronic patient records.
* Answer a multi-line telephone system and respond to patient inquiries.
* Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, deliveries, and shipping/receiving.
* Support daily administrative operations and maintain an organized front office.
* Open and close the office each day.
