Job Description
Need an experienced Spanish-speaking Medical Receptionist to be part of a great team at a specialty allergy practice.
We have 2 locations – Elgin and Crystal Lake. Must be able to commute to both offices as locations are open on alternate days.
Calm and friendly personality with good patient rapport needed to be comfortable getting reviews for office and collect payments . Needs to have understanding of insurance verification, Co-Pays, Deductibles, Co-Insurance, and charge posting. Someone who is a good team player is important to work with the other front desk Personnel.
Job duties:
Great communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information, including personal and financial information, confirms insurance and eligibility.
Performs patient scheduling, follows up with patients on balances, collects payments.
Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient’s arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
Help with marketing techniques to get reviews and grow practice by social posting.
Able to learn how to collect overdue payments and help organize FD staff to work directly with Manager and Practice Assistant.
Protects patient confidentiality by following HIPAA policies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Knowledge of medical coding ICD-10 desired.
Schedule:
Three 9-10 hour days during the week from 8:30 AM-6 PM and every other Saturday from 8:30 AM-1:00 PM.
