ECW experience is a must The MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST performs complex clerical and accounting functions for patient billing, including verification of insurance information and update patient records. Follows up on submitted claims and patient billing; resubmits claims or correct inaccuracies.
Responsibilities
- Review and process medical claims for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize EHR systems to maintain and update patient records.
- Perform medical coding using ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding standards.
- Conduct follow-ups on outstanding accounts and manage medical collections.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Stay informed about changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
