Lincoln County Law Firm has an immediate opening for a dynamic, dedicated, and highly motivated Paralegal/Legal Assistant that provides strategic legal support at the firm’s office in Troy, Missouri on a full-time basis. The job is fast paced and busy. We are looking for a self motivated Legal Assistant to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Typing, drafting documents, answering phones and corresponding with the Court, other lawyers and clients.
- Provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.
- Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness.
- Handle communication with clients, witnesses, Court, other lawyers and providers.
- Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Maintain contact lists.
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.
Our Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
- 3+ years of legal experience preferred, but not required
- Must be comfortable with Microsoft word, excel and outlook
- Strong computer skills. Typing skills are a must.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
