We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, and general litigation.
- Assist with document review, drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and LexisNexis; ensure all files are up-to-date and properly organized.
- Support attorneys with procedural law knowledge by preparing filings for courts and agencies in compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case activities using PCLaw and other legal case management software.
- Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases or projects.
- Assist with client interviews and prepare summaries; support attorneys in client communication efforts while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy; transcribe dictations as needed; ensure all materials meet high standards of quality before submission.
Requirements
- Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience demonstrating familiarity with diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, and litigation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with document management systems like iManage is preferred.
- Knowledge of procedural law requirements for court filings and administrative procedures across jurisdictions.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is essential.
- Experience with contract review, document review processes, data entry, filing systems, and clerical tasks within a busy law office environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally via phone and email; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills during client interviews or team collaborations.
- Familiarity with project management principles to support multiple ongoing cases efficiently.

Pay: $27.40 – $33.00 per hour
