Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lawndale, CA. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys, including managing schedules, preparing legal documents, organizing client files, and conducting research. Additional responsibilities include coordinating communication with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Law and a solid understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is a must. Merus knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional interactions with clients and legal professionals.
- Proficiency in administrative assistance tasks like managing schedules, filing, and office organization.
- Prior experience working in a Legal Assistant role or similar capacity.
- Effective time-management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field is preferred.
