Join our dynamic team as a Leasing Agent specializing in Student Housing, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused approach will help students find their perfect living environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in property leasing, property management, and customer service within a vibrant, fast-paced setting. You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process and ensuring a seamless experience from inquiry to move-in. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming community for students while supporting the operational needs of our property management team.
Duties
- Greet prospective tenants with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing detailed information about available units and community amenities
- Conduct property tours, showcasing features and answering questions to facilitate leasing decisions
- Manage leasing applications, verify applicant information, and process lease agreements accurately using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal standards
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, data entry, filing, and contract documentation in accordance with legal and company policies
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property upkeep and address resident concerns promptly
- Upsell additional services or amenities to prospective tenants to enhance occupancy rates and resident satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles; experience with student housing is a plus
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and legal administrative procedures
- Proficiency with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while adhering to legal standards and company policies
- Office experience including data entry, filing, contracts management, and general administrative tasks
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling contracts, legal documents, and lease files
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive relationships with residents and team members

Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour
