This position provides assistance/support to Loan Officers and staff with the processing of loans. Represents Stryv Bank by developing and fostering positive relationships with customers and various community organizations. Participates in staff meetings and maintains customer confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative assistance to the loan officers and staff, updating loan data into the financial institution’s computers, and assembling documentation for customer loans.
  • Types and prepares loan documentation (Consumer, Real Estate and Commercial loans) for signature; while assembling and verifying accuracy of loan documentation
  • Builds completed loan docs in a timely fashion and ensures accuracy of information. Checking documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.
  • Performs document scanning duties for imaging on all new accounts and maintenance requests.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, resolves customer inquiries within prescribed authority, and when necessary, directing calls to the appropriate officer or department.
  • Completes all tasks related to Escrow including payment of insurance and real estate taxes. Including: review and update all end of year escrow analysis, checking for accuracy and preparing surplus escrow checks.
  • Maintains new and paid loan files. Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures. Uses office computers for data input and other activities, and orders credit reports.
  • Booking, Maintaining and posting payments to Loan accounts on Core system.
  • Balance of G/L Accounts and Fed Funds.
  • Checks new loans for compliance and records any discrepancies in the compliance log. Updates and maintains compliance log by contacting title companies, insurance companies and customers as needed. Receives and follows up on outstanding documentation.
  • Obtains information related to the loan origination process including: credit reports, preliminary title reports, customer identification verifications, UCC Searches, insurance information, and various other items.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training. Good interpersonal communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment. EOE.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Some driving may be required.

The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, copier, fax machine, and telephone. The work environment is indoors with a majority of time spent sitting at a desk. The noise level is moderate.
