Schedule: Flexible; days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Position Summary

peach tree inn is seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Clerk / Part-Time Housekeeper. This dual-role position is responsible for providing excellent guest service at the front desk while also assisting with housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the flexibility to assist in various areas of hotel operations as needed.

Front Desk Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Process reservations, payments, and guest transactions.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and shift logs.
  • Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize the front desk area at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Empty trash receptacles in the front desk and lobby areas at the start and end of each shift and as needed throughout the day.
  • Restock front desk supplies, brochures, and guest materials.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby and common areas.
  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and customer service standards.

Housekeeping Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms and guest room surfaces.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and common areas.
  • Restock guest amenities and housekeeping supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are clean, organized, and guest-ready.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hotel, customer service, or housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, and walking throughout the property.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Availability Requirements

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
  • Must be willing to work any assigned shift based on operational needs.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Employees may be offered additional hours based on occupancy levels, staffing needs, and performance.

Extended Shift Opportunities

  • Opportunities for additional hours and expanded responsibilities may be available.
  • On occasion, employees may be offered extended or 24-hour shift assignments to assist with hotel operations.
  • Overnight accommodations may be provided by the hotel for employees working approved overnight or extended shifts.
  • Advance notice will be provided whenever possible for extended scheduling needs.
