We are recruiting a Head Receptionist for a well-regarded hotel near Basingstoke, offering a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your Front Office career. This role in Basingstoke is ideal for a confident Reception Supervisor ready to progress, or an experienced Head Receptionist looking to develop within a supportive and professional team.
Working in a quality-driven environment near Basingstoke, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting the Reception Manager and leading a small, dedicated team.
Please note, the hotel is set in a rural location, so access to your own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional welcome and ensure outstanding guest service
- Handle enquiries, requests and complaints efficiently and to a high standard
- Train, motivate and develop the reception team
- Assist with rota planning, task allocation and team performance
- Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure seamless operations
- Ensure all front office procedures and standards are followed
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Head Receptionist or Reception Supervisor
- A positive, solutions-focused approach to challenges
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- A flexible, hands‑on attitude in a busy hotel environment
- Ability to work a mixture of early and late shifts (40 hours per week)
