✨ The role
The Head of Retail at Moodi is a senior role responsible for scaling our retail channel in the next phase of rapid growth. You'll own the retail P&L end-to-end, drive velocity and expansion within existing retail partners, win new banners and channels, and lead retail go-to-market in new geographies.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, suited to a senior operator who can drive commercial outcomes across pricing, promotions, distribution, and retail launches without relying on a team reporting to them. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in retail strategy and execution within fast-growing consumer brands, is highly commercial, leans heavily on AI to scale their output, and is motivated by the opportunity to build a leading retail consumer business.

- In-store execution: Ensure consistent on-shelf execution across retailers, including merchandising, planogram compliance, and promotional activation.
- Retail compliance: Ensure retail activities meet retailer-specific operational, trading, and merchandising requirements across markets.
Distribution Expansion

- External partner coordination: Collaborate with external advisors, brokers, and sales agencies to support market entry, retailer set-up, and in-market execution.
NPD & Product Collaboration
- Retail-led product input: Provide retail commercial inputs into NPD, including format, PPA, COGS targets, and retailer-specific requirements.
- Retailer set-up: Collaborate with Operations to execute the back-end set-up of new products with retailers, including specs, barcodes, listings, and trade documentation.
- Product optimisation for retail: Identify opportunities to optimise existing products for retail performance, including pack formats, PPA, and retailer-specific variants.
- Retail-led portfolio decisions: Provide retail performance input into SKU rationalisation, line extensions, and underperforming product decisions.

- AI integration: Utilise AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow to ideate, build, and execute faster across all retail activities.
- Retail systems: Build and refine repeatable retail systems that leverage AI to scale output across account management, reporting, and planning without sacrificing quality or commercial rigour.
- Continuous improvement: Foster a culture of testing and curiosity, constantly seeking new tools, methods, and workflows to work smarter and more efficiently.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product to ensure retail activity is commercially sound, operationally feasible, and brand-aligned.
