Front Office Administrator/Customer Service Jobs in Memphis at SUPERIOR INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CO., INC

We are looking for an office administrator who has the ability to work independently and diligently to help maintain smooth office operations. You will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from customer service and answering the phone to basic bookkeeping.

You MUST be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. This is a fast paced office and candidate must be able to multi-task. THIS IS NOT A SECRETARY/RECEPTIONIST JOB. You will not be just answering the phone. This is a full time position that you are busy from 7:30-4:30. Please do not apply if you cannot handle a fast paced, busy all day job. The ideal candidate will be familiar with office equipment and procedures. Must have experience with running an office efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible
  • Will be responsible for answering phones and taking customer orders
  • Will be processing purchase orders for customers and our vendors
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)
  • Answer the phone to take messages or redirect calls to appropriate colleagues
  • Take customer orders.
  • Processing RFQ’s and bidding on government jobs.
  • Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
  • Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, etc.
  • Assist in office organization procedures and help walk in customers
  • Monitor stocks of office supplies (paper clips, stationery etc.) and report when there are shortages
  • Perform other office duties as assigned
  • Must be experienced in online sales

Skills

  • Proven experience as office clerk or other clerical position
  • Familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of office devices and processes
  • A fast typist with experience in quotes/bids
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Knowledge of website updating and listing products for sale on other platforms a plus
  • High school diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
