At Renaissance Hotels, our Front Desk Supervisors are more than operational leaders, they are Navigators who create memorable guest experiences while leading the front office team with professionalism, accountability, and energy. This role is responsible for overseeing daily Front Desk operations, supporting guest satisfaction initiatives, coaching associates, and ensuring all brand and operational standards are executed consistently.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Opera PMS and MARSHA is required.

Essential ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service

  • Deliver exceptional guest service in alignment with Renaissance brand standards and Marriott culture.
  • Lead by example in creating engaging, personalized guest interactions.
  • Handle guest concerns, service recovery situations, and escalations professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure VIP arrivals, Elite member recognition, and special requests are properly executed.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and assist in improving GSS/Intent to Recommend scores.

Front Office Operations

  • Supervise daily Front Desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, cash handling, and shift transitions.
  • Ensure proper use of Opera PMS, MARSHA, GXP, and other Marriott systems.
  • Assist with room inventory management, oversell situations, and room status discrepancies.
  • Review arrivals, departures, traces, and special requests prior to each shift.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and MOD communications.
  • Support Night Audit and other operational departments when needed.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach, motivate, and support Front Desk associates to maintain high performance standards.
  • Assist with training new hires on brand standards, guest engagement, and hotel systems.
  • Ensure associates follow attendance, appearance, and service standards.
  • Help create a positive and team-oriented work environment.
  • Assist management with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily staffing needs.

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Ensure accuracy in cash handling, billing, and payment processing.
  • Support upselling initiatives and promote hotel revenue opportunities.
  • Assist with monitoring labor and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott policies, procedures, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of hotel Front Office experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with Opera PMS required.
  • Experience with MARSHA reservation system required.
  • Knowledge of Marriott brand standards preferred.
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with GXP, Mobile Check-In, and Marriott systems.
  • Strong understanding of guest recovery and service excellence.
  • Ability to lead by example and coach associates effectively.
  • Knowledge of hotel accounting, cash handling, and room inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and hotel reporting tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
