SpecialEyes Eyecare is an independent optometry clinic located inside the Redmond Costco, providing complete family eyecare. We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional and personable Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clinic. Our team members are passionate about helping patients, and we are looking for someone who can create a quality patient care experience.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanor. They should demonstrate strong time management, communication, and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail. The right candidate can multitask and prioritize effectively during busy periods while remaining calm, friendly, and professional. Being a team player is essential, as is having strong computer and technology skills. Punctuality and reliability are a must.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive office environment by managing front desk operations, supporting administrative functions, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking accurate messages as needed.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Preliminary testing using automated equipment (training provided).
  • Receive and enter paperwork from patients in a fast and accurate manner
  • Dispense contacts and conduct contact lens trainings (training provided)
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records is helpful but not required.
  • Keep up with office appearance. Ensure clinic area is tidy and presentable.
  • Insurance verification knowledge is helpful but not required.
  • Provide patient support by addressing inquiries professionally and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Saturday availability is required!

Experience

Prior experience in an office environment with a focus on front desk operations is ideal but not required. Experience in customer service roles is highly valued, especially those involving direct interaction with customers or patients. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel), and strong overall tech skills are essential. Bilingual abilities are considered a strong asset to effectively serve diverse populations.
