Position Overview
We are hiring a friendly and organized Front Desk/Bar person to join the team at our indoor pickleball club. This position is a combination of a receptionist and a bartender and will interact with guests, answer the phone, respond to emails, and serve drinks/food. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, the ability to keep an eye on a few things at once, and some familiarity with pickleball.
Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about club facilities, programs, and membership options.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Register players for classes, leagues, and tournaments using our club management software.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby area.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of retail items and processing sales transactions.
- Coordinate court reservations and manage the schedule using our booking system.
- Ensure compliance with club policies and procedures.
- Assist with special events, promotions, and other club activities as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all club members and guests.
- Help guests with alcohol and food purchases
- Make and serve alcoholic beverages for guests including cocktails, canned beverages, wine, and pouring draft beer.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality industry preferred – especially restaurants/bars.
- Knowledge of pickleball or a willingness to learn about the sport.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using computers and being able to learn multiple club management software systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally.
