Join our The Shaggy Shack team as a Pet Bather, where you’ll play a vital role in providing exceptional pet care and outstanding customer service. In this position, you’ll be responsible for ensuring pets look and feel their best while also creating a welcoming environment for pet owners. Responsibilities
- Perform pet grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing and nail trimming to meet client specifications and ensure pet comfort.
- Handle animal restraint safely and effectively during grooming procedures to prevent injury and stress.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering questions, and managing check-in/check-out processes.
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, tools, and reception space to uphold health standards and a professional environment.
- Manage pet care records accurately, including grooming history, veterinary notes, and client preferences.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred
- Experience working with dogs in a veterinary or kennel setting demonstrates strong animal handling skills.
- Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary technician or assistant experience are advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling large dogs or equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Passion for animals combined with the ability to remain calm and professional
Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
