The primary responsibility of the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk’s Office is to serve the public in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintaining and providing all court records, information, and services with courtesy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day tasks as assigned
  • Process/maintain court files/record
  • Assist patrons, attorney, judges, etc. with case inquiries
  • Collect statutory fines/fees
  • Initiate court cases from filings/citations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer with proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Type a minimum of 30 words per minute
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve concerns
  • Ability to learn case management systems used by the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk’s Office
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
