The primary responsibility of the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk’s Office is to serve the public in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintaining and providing all court records, information, and services with courtesy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day tasks as assigned
- Process/maintain court files/record
- Assist patrons, attorney, judges, etc. with case inquiries
- Collect statutory fines/fees
- Initiate court cases from filings/citations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer with proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Type a minimum of 30 words per minute
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve concerns
- Ability to learn case management systems used by the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk’s Office
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
