Job Overview
Dental Assistant with X-ray license to work in Somerville General Dental office. Part-time hours for One Day – Tuesday or Thursday. Possible future additional hours/days. No weekends. Assist chairside ensuring patient comfort and maintaining efficient dental office operations. Your role is vital in helping patients feel comfortable with their dental experience.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, setup/breakdown operatories, maintain rooms & supplies, follow infection control protocols.
- Assist dentist chairside during a variety of general dental procedures and maintaining patient records.
- Take X-rays using advanced imaging digital technology, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Requirement: Active NJ X-ray License
- support comprehensive patient care, comfort and patient education.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating files, recording documents, verifying insurance and answering phone.
- Assist with basic housekeeping and office cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency in EHR systems is highly desirable.
- Skilled in taking quality digital intraoral X-rays with knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
- Knowledge aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice.
- Excellent communication skills
- Certification in NJ dental radiology and CPR is required. Additional professional certification is welcome.
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
