Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides administrative assistance to the Director of Institutional Research and the Associate Vice President of Analysis and Information Management. Manages daily activities including responding to requests and inquiries and/or redirects more complex inquires to the appropriate staff member for action. Resolves moderately complex administrative problems, independently or with others. Makes independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Performs work that requires knowledge of administrative/office management practices.
- Provides administrative support to the Director and Associate Directors of Institutional Research.
- Provides support for the validation of BOG data on Tableau Dashboards.
- Assists and supports the submission of all board files and data requests.
- Supports the data integrity and cleanup efforts of all the board files by working with staff members of various offices.
- Instructs FIU faculty and staff on how to use the accountability. fiu.edu dashboards when they call asking for readily accessible data.
- Maintains internal BOG yearly calendar.
- Maintains calendar. Arranges for and schedules appointments and meetings.
- Prepares meeting materials. Provides necessary documentation or background information for meetings.
- Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings, as necessary.
- Coordinates travel arrangements including expense reports.
- Conducts research on the internet, handles information requests.
- Performs clerical functions such as, preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, and arranging conference calls.
- Prioritizes and coordinates multiple projects. Assists with special projects.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described here in.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department; OR six (6) years of office or related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
