Currently hiring 1 full time position
Veterinary experience required for applicant.
Primary Job Duties – To include but not limited to:
- Act as primary point of contact for client inquiries via phone and email
- Maintain a friendly environment and provide excellent customer service to all clients
- Promote all programs and services of the Humane Society of Manatee County
- Make wellness clinic appointments in Practice Management Software
- Discuss vaccine protocols with clients
- Educate clients on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals
- Educate clients on the importance of heartworm and flea prevention
- Other duties as assigned in all areas of the clinic
Front Desk Support to included, but not limited to:
- Intake and discharge for spay/neuter surgeries, heartworm treatment, wellness appointments
- Accurately process payments
- Assist the medical staff with preparation of paperwork for all animals admitted to the clinic for services
- Complete prescription request forms for the doctor
- Entry and maintenance of animal record and microchip information in Practice Management Software
- Scan animals documents and attach them to the patient file
- File daily visit paperwork properly
Full time is 40 hours per week, based on an 8 hour day scheduled.
Work week is 5 days/week (Schedule can consist of any day Monday to Saturday)
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Minimal 1 year veterinary experience required
- Be knowledgeable about veterinary medicine, vaccines, heart worm and flea prevention
- Be friendly and welcoming to the customers they support
- Be compassionate towards owners with medical needs for their pets
- Be committed to the health and welfare of the pets we treat
- Display a positive attitude toward the clients and their pets
- Comfortable working with cats and dogs
Qualifications:
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Microsoft office products including – excel, word, outlook.
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work as a team player
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/sitting for extended periods of time
- Exposure to high noise levels
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Able to lift 50lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
