Duties
- Evaluate client applications by reviewing financial information, credit reports, and legal documentation to determine eligibility for bail bonds
- Process loan origination paperwork and ensure all contracts comply with federal and state regulations, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) disclosures
- Calculate premiums, fees, and collateral requirements accurately using basic math skills and financial software tools
- Facilitate the signing of legal contracts, explaining terms clearly to clients to ensure understanding and agreement
- Monitor bond payments and collateral deposits, maintaining detailed records through 10-key typing and data entry
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, courts, and clients to manage bond releases and ensure compliance with court orders
- Conduct risk assessments to determine appropriate bond amounts while adhering to industry standards and legal guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loan origination or financial services, preferably within the bail or surety industry
- Strong background in loan officer responsibilities, including loan processing and contract management
- Familiarity with TILA regulations and legal documentation related to bonds or loans
- Excellent math skills for calculating premiums, fees, and collateral requirements accurately
- Proficiency with financial software applications used for processing transactions and maintaining records
- Ability to type at least 10 keys per second with high accuracy for data entry tasks
- Basic understanding of legal procedures related to bail bonds and court processes
