Position Overview
Under general supervision, the Assistant Clerk to the Board of Supervisors assists in the administration of the Office of the Clerk of the Board and acts as Clerk for the County Assessment Appeals Board, the County Planning Commission, and other joint powers agencies. Incumbents exercise supervision over lower-level staff.
Salary & Benefits: There is an additional 3.35% Management Differential added to the posted salary for this class. This is a continuous filing exam with cut-offs on 4/28/25, 5/12/25, and 5/27/25 at 5:00 pm.

Assist in office administration and supervise staff
Manage meetings, records, and official documents
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include three years of full-time paid experience as clerical support for a board or commission, including supervisory experience, or equivalent experience in a public jurisdiction involving staff development and policy development.
Knowledge & Skills
Management principles, organizational theory, and office procedures
Knowledge of government codes (Brown Act, Maddy Act, etc.)
Supervisory and communication skills
Additional Requirements
Criminal background check and fingerprinting
Valid California Driver License at appointment
