The Position

We are seeking an Administration Officer to provide support to the Visual & Performing Arts/Music Department. The successful candidate will have the capacity to work efficiently and posses an excellent attention to detail. This role will work 27.5 hours per week, during school term time only. We are offering the flexibility to work these hours condensed into four (4) weekdays, or spread over five (5) weekdays.

This is an ongoing, part-time role. Commencement date as soon possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Director of Visual & Performing Arts and Head of Music. 
  • Manage the instrumental music fees and coordinate booking and payment process, liaising with parents and the Finance Department.
  • Ad Hoc duties including (but not limited to); booking of meeting rooms, taking of meeting minutes, responding to student/parent enquires.
  • Fulfil administrative tasks associated with events on the Visual & Performing Arts Calendar. 
  • Coordinate the lending system for costumes.
  • Attend and participate in relevant staff meetings, open/information days/nights, co-curricular responsibilities and functions as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • IT skills, capacity to work with digital platforms.
  • Ability to self-direct and manage workload autonomously.
  • Willing to work flexible hours during productions and rehearsals. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience using Compass (desirable but not essential).
