The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology has an outstanding opportunity for an Administrative Assistant.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week
Monday – Friday, flexibility within 8:00am-4:30pm

Required Position Qualifications
High School/GED AND two years of office or administrative support experience OR
an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant is a member of the Client Support Services Team.
The person in this position works with reference laboratory clients, UWMC hospital staff, and the Department of Laboratory staff, residents and faculty.
The Administrative Assistant performs specialized technical/clerical responsibilities (such as filing, faxing, running reports, processing supply requests, using the Laboratory Information System (LIS), printing requisitions and reports, mail, and inventory) while maintaining patient confidentiality. The person in this role provides extensive internal and external communication for the purpose of relaying information and resolving problems.
