Home Health Agency – Greenacres, FL

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of a busy home health agency in South Florida.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in home health, medical assisting, healthcare administration, or agency coordination who thrives in a fast-paced office environment.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing high call volume, experienced with scheduling and EMR systems, and able to communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and referral sources. Spanish-speaking bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Route calls, take accurate messages, and communicate urgent matters to appropriate staff
  • Provide front desk support by greeting and assisting patients, staff, vendors, and visitors
  • Coordinate schedules for clinicians, patient visits, admissions, and follow-up appointments
  • Support daily office operations including filing, scanning, faxing, and document tracking
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the EMR system
  • Track physician orders, plans of care, and signed documents to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, scheduling updates, and communication between departments
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with employee files, timekeeping, onboarding paperwork, and general HR support
  • Maintain office supplies, mail distribution, and overall organization of the office
  • Prepare correspondence, meeting notes, and administrative reports as needed
  • Support leadership team with administrative and operational tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, home health agency, healthcare administration, or related healthcare setting
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant, Scheduler, Intake Coordinator, or Administrative Assistant preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required or strongly preferred
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, data entry, and general office systems
  • Professional communication skills and ability to work well with clinical and administrative teams
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 per year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 1 year (Preferred)
