Position Overview:

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing payroll for various locations, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing payroll related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

Process payrolls for all employees, adhering to federal, state, and company regulations.
Reconcile and review employee time sheets to ensure all worked hours are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are promptly resolved.
Provide clear communication and support to employees regarding payroll matters. Assist employees with payroll inquiries, including explanations of pay, deductions, and benefits.
Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Provide accurate preparation and process of various payrolls for weekly pay groups for over 600 employees.
Attention to detail with the ability to process large volumes of data with high accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and government agencies.
The ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and other issues.
Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office is a must.
Experience with payroll software (NETCHEX) is preferred but not required.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED is the minimum requirement.
Previous experience in payroll processing and basic accounting is preferred.

Work Environment:

Full Time in office position
Entry level position
Occasional overtime may be required to meet payroll deadlines.
