Long standing, independent real estate title insurance company has a career opportunity for a smart, self-motivated, and resourceful individual to join our admin team.

Summary: Assists Branch Office staff by performing support tasks related to branch operations, the closing process and customer service. Adheres to all federal and state regulations and follows company policies & procedures including but not limited to company published Best Practices, Associate (Employee) Handbook, Escrow Manual, BCEP Manual, etc.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and other visitors in a courteous, friendly, and timely manner
  • Service walk-in customers
  • Become familiar with the customer base to understand their expectations and to provide services to meet those expectations
  • Gather initial information
  • Make copies of contracts for realtors/customers
  • Answer phone, distribute calls, take messages
  • Handle inquiries from parties to the transaction referring questions to the Closing Officer/Closing Assistant as required
  • Answers only within the scope of knowledge and responsibility
  • Receive escrow deposits, prepare escrow receipts to provide to the customer
  • Prepare and send escrow agreements, post and publish escrow agreements to the file
  • Utilize knowledge of reading a contract, so the order can be opened
  • Assign file numbers
  • Contact respective realtors for customer and/or commission/transaction fee information
  • Prepare order form for Centralized and scanning
  • Request vendor card and vendor card updates
  • Make buyer/seller data calls on new orders
  • Scan information into files as needed
  • Post-close files, including completing the File Audit Checklist to ensure accuracy in preparation for Recording
  • Ensure UPS, FED E, US mail and courier mail go out every day

Qualifications:

  • One year related experience
  • High school diploma
  • Adaptable: adapts to new, different, or changing requirements
  • Attentive to details
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of company information
  • Customer focused: pleasant, courteous, and professional when dealing with internal and externa customers or clients

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
