Reporting to the Health Information Management Supervisor, this Administrative Support III position requires proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Key responsibilities include retrieving and scanning medical records, managing patient interviews, and providing financial assistance with trust accounts. You’ll ensure accurate information flow while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and assisting both patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Retrieve, prepare, and audit health records for accuracy
• Register patients using Connect Care and verify essential data
• Apply wristbands and create identifiers for non-residents
• Operate the switchboard and manage incoming calls
• Handle payments and assist with trust account management
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent
• Proficient in keyboarding (40 wpm)
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
