Description

As an Administration Officer, you'll support our Claims and Underwriting team by delivering efficient, detail-focused administrative services. You'll be at the heart of claims operations, ensuring documentation is managed accurately, stakeholders are supported, and processes run smoothly.
You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your organisation, attention to detail, and ability to juggle priorities will be key. From handling incoming claims and coordinating documentation to supporting continuous improvement initiatives, your contribution will directly impact the experience of our members.
This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
- Accurately process and intake new claims forms in a timely manner.
- Follow up outstanding documentation with members, employers, and medical practitioners.
- Manage incoming correspondence, including sorting, indexing, and organising deliveries.
- Support payment preparation and historical record searches for insurance queries.
- Answer and direct calls, respond to queries, and take accurate messages.
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain procedures and documentation.
- Manage records, including retrieval, storage, and liaison with external providers.
- Provide general administrative support to the Claims Operations team.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as requested by leadership.
Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have previous experience in an administrative or support role.
- Your ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality is strong.
- You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- You're highly detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- You have well-developed communication skills and enjoy working with others.
- Your capability with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is solid.
- You'll stay calm under pressure and demonstrate resilience.
- You're confident working collaboratively within a team environment.
- You understand or are keen to learn about risk management and compliance requirements.
- You'll bring, or quickly build, knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry.
