Overview
SCI Floor Covering is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for candidates with a foundational background in inventory payables and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and supporting the accounting team with day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices related to inventory purchases
- Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices for accuracy
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end closing tasks and reporting
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely payments
- Support the accounting team with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of inventory accounts payable experience
- At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Preferred but not required: Experience with RFMS (Retail Floor Management System) software
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
