Accounting Assistant Jobs in Pineville, NC at ACP Fiber Services

ACP Fiber Services is a national provider of professional communication services to the telecommunication and utility industry for network infrastructure buildouts and ongoing network maintenance. We are looking for an Accounting Assistant for full-time work out of our Pineville, NC office

The accounting assistant will execute daily accounting assignments and report directly to the Accounting Manager. This is an entry level position which can grow into more responsibility over time. Basic accounting skills are required, and QuickBooks knowledge is a plus.

Duties:

  • – Daily accounting entries in QuickBooks accounting software.
  • -Daily filing and organizing in regards to accts payable and recievables.
  • -Answering phones and handling accounting inquiries.
  • – Assist with double entry bookkeeping, including recording journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts

– Support the preparation of tax documents and assist with tax-related tasks
– Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payment to vendors
– Assist in financial reporting and preparation of financial statements

  • General administrative duties
  • Other assigned projects by Accounting Manager.

Requirements:

  • – Strong math skills and attention to detail

– Proficiency in accounting software (preferably QuickBooks) and MS Excel
– Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles
– Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
– Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the united states
  • Must submit to background check and drug testing

Note: Prior experience in accounting or a related field is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
