Job Overview

Are you welcoming, organised, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced healthcare environment? We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Administrative Support colleague to join our G2B ward in FPH

As part of our team, you’ll provide essential administrative and clerical support to the G2B ward You’ll often be the first point of contact, meeting and greeting patients, visitors, and staff with a courteous, professional, and reassuring approach.

You’ll help ensure that patient records and documentation are accurately maintained, in line with Trust policies and procedures, and that confidentiality and information security are upheld at all times in accordance with Information Governance guidance.

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to cover the shift.

Visa Sponsorship

This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.

Main duties of the job

  • Welcoming patients, visitors, and staff to the ward.
  • Providing administrative and clerical support to the G2B Ward.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data security are always maintained.
  • Supporting the wider multidisciplinary team in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • High standard of English communicational skills (verbal and written) with GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Desirable criteria

  • Excel and Word qualification or relevant transferable evidenced experience

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of clerical duties
  • High Standard of IT literacy/experience in computer use

Desirable criteria

  • Previous Health Care experience.
  • Administrative/clerical experience
  • Previous experience of working within a hospital setting.
  • Previous front facing customer service experience.
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Ability to work unsupervised at times and the ability to prioritise workloads under the guidance of line manager/Shift In Charge.
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (Written and verbal) with the ability to communicate well at all levels, both face to face and by telephone.
  • To be able to manage sensitive/ confidential information according to trust policy
